Brief of Program:
Thalassemia Screening Camp Conducted at Smt. S. R. Mehta Arts College
Under the auspices of the NSS Department of Smt. S. R. Mehta Arts College, Navgujarat Group of Colleges, a Thalassemia screening test was successfully conducted for more than 70 students of the college. The programme was organized in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Airport and Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Saryam which works towards the eradication of Thalassemia and the creation of awareness among the public.
The screening camp aimed to promote health awareness and early detection of Thalassemia among students. The programme was conducted under the able supervision of the Principal, DR DARSHA JANI, and the guidance of NSS Coordinators DR NAYANA CHUDASAMA and DR TEJANI MUNSHI. Their leadership ensured the smooth and effective execution of the programme.
The initiative was well received by the students and proved to be a meaningful step towards social responsibility and health consciousness.
