In the fast-growing world of today, English has become the language of the world. Therefore, it is necessary to promote the use of Hindi language along with other languages. It is for this purpose of disseminating the use of Hindi that the day is celebrated. In 2024, the theme of the World Hindi Day is “Hindi-Bridging Traditional Knowledge and Artificial Intelligence.” Since Hindi is widely spoken language not just in India but also in several parts of the world. It is Hindi that is the third most spoken language worldwide by number of speakers, after English and Mandarin Chinese. Every year January 10 is celebrated as “Vishwa Hindi Diwas” or “World Hindi Day.” |

Mehta Arts College Dr Darsha Jani interacted with students of Arts and Law colleges and talked about the importance of World Hindi Day. The Cultural committee members Dr Nayana Chudasama, Dr Tejani Munshi, Dr Shobhana Nair and Dr Ketan Gediya also expressed their views on the importance of the Day. |
